BELOVED BENEFIT
ANNUAL FLAGSHIP EVENT * LIVE PRODUCTION * TEAM OF 60+
The Beloved Benefit, creative direction, stage design, live production, original score, short film
-
The Beloved Benefit is Brand Apart's flagship annual fundraiser, uniting Atlanta's civic and entertainment communities behind nonprofit work in housing, education, economic mobility, and health. I came on through an early ideation-meeting invite and, alongside co-Creative Director Blaine Hogan, led strategy, stage design, casting, and full production across three consecutive years on budgets from $250K to $1M.

Built around one story the whole night could follow.
Rather than programming a sequence of unrelated performances, I built the show around Little A, a fictional Atlanta girl whose story ran as a short film integrated live into the program across LED screens between sets. Writing (with WJ Lofton and Blaine Hogan), an original score with 30-plus musicians, and sound design were all built in service of her story, so every act on stage carried the same throughline instead of standing alone.
I crafted a strategic plan, overseeing stage design components, design, program planning, and budget management. I assembled and led a diverse team of 60+ creatives, securing A-list talent through my entertainment network.
I co - directed all aspects of production, including scriptwriting, sound, set design, and day-of execution, ensuring a flawless and impactful event.
We have successfully completed 3 annual Beloved Benefits that have expanded in revenue and performance. Beloved was nationally televised and has contributed over 20M dollars to Social Impact in Atlanta. -

Our goal was to tell the story of a little girl in Atlanta, embodying the struggles and hopes of her community through the character of Little A. We crafted an immersive experience, bringing this narrative to life on massive LED screens in the Mercedes Benz Dome. The short film was seamlessly integrated with live performances and production elements, creating a powerful and engaging environment that resonated deeply with the audience
